TRICARE IOP Mental Health Program

Intensive Outpatient Recovery Tailored for Military Families

IOP Admissions: (908) 263-1332
What is TRICARE IOP Mental Health?
A TRICARE IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) is a specialized level of care for military beneficiaries who require more than one hour of therapy per week. At Resilience NJ, our IOP provides 9 to 19 hours of structured treatment per week, including group therapy, individual sessions, and psychiatric monitoring. This program is 100% authorized for TRICARE East members facing complex PTSD, severe depression, or high-stress transitions.

Is IOP the Right Mission for You?

In 2026, the VA and TRICARE have expanded IOP mental health access to prevent inpatient hospitalization. Our program allows you to receive high-level care during the day while returning home to your family at night.

9-19 Hours Weekly

Intensive therapy cycles (typically 3-5 days per week).

Group Focus

Connect with other military members in shared recovery.

Med Management

Integrated psychiatric oversight for medication stability.

Crisis Bridge

Prevents hospitalization or serves as a "step-down" from PHP.

Referral Requirement: To access TRICARE IOP mental health at Resilience NJ, beneficiaries must have a clinical referral and pre-authorization from Humana Military. Our intake team at (908) 263-1332 can assist your PCM in submitting the necessary 2026 clinical codes for approval.

The Physiological Edge

Building on Fernando’s Sports Science specialization (UNIFESP), our IOP doesn't just treat the mind—it treats the body's response to trauma. We utilize biological regulation techniques within our intensive groups to help "Tactical Athletes" lower their baseline cortisol levels and regain autonomic control, a critical step for long-term resilience.
