Veteran mental health crisis care at Resilience NJ provides an immediate clinical pathway for veterans experiencing acute psychological distress, suicidal ideation, or severe PTSD episodes. Under the 2026 COMPACT Act guidelines, we offer rapid intake and evidence-based stabilization to prevent hospitalization and restore safety. As a VA Community Care partner, we coordinate urgent authorizations to ensure you receive life-saving care without financial barriers.

A crisis requires a tactical response. Our veteran mental health crisis care focuses on high-impact stabilization:
Safety Planning
Immediate development of a tactical safety plan to manage lethal means and establish a reliable support network.
Intensive Trauma Processing
Rapid-response EMDR to de-escalate acute flashbacks or traumatic triggers that are causing the current crisis.
Biological De-escalation
Using Fernando’s Sports Science specialization (UNIFESP), we use bio-feedback to physically lower your heart rate and cortisol levels.
VA Coordination
We work directly with the VA's emergency care reporting system to ensure your crisis treatment is authorized and covered.

Your Rights Under the COMPACT Act (2026)
It is vital that you know your rights during a veteran mental health crisis:
- Zero Cost: The VA will pay for, provide, or reimburse the cost of your emergency suicide care.
- Broad Eligibility: This applies to many veterans even if they are not currently enrolled in VA healthcare.
- Civilian Access: You can receive this care at any community emergency room or authorized urgent provider.
