Authorization Steps for TRICARE PHP
In 2026, the process for accessing TRICARE PHP mental health care at Resilience NJ involves:
- Active Duty: Work with your military PCM or mental health clinic to secure a referral. We coordinate directly with the MTF for pre-authorization.
- TRICARE Select/Prime (Family): While some outpatient care is self-referral, PHP requires pre-authorization. Our intake team handles the clinical submission to TRICARE East (Humana Military) for you.
- Medical Necessity: Our clinicians perform the initial assessment to document the medical necessity required for PHP coverage.
