Active Duty Mental Health Treatment

Mission Readiness Through Clinical Excellence | TRICARE Authorized

Authorization Support: (908) 263-1332
Direct Answer: Active duty mental health treatment at Resilience NJ provides specialized, short-term and long-term clinical care for service members stationed in or residing near New Jersey. We work in tandem with the TRICARE East Region to provide evidence-based therapy for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Our goal is to stabilize and enhance the psychological health of the Active Duty Service Member (ADSM) to ensure continued operational readiness and career longevity.

Treatment Focused on Operational Readiness

In the military, "health" is synonymous with "readiness." Our active duty mental health treatment focuses on the high-performance demands of service:

Operational Stress Control

Cognitive and behavioral tools to manage the unique pressures of high-tempo assignments and deployments.

PTSD & Trauma Recovery

Authorized EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to address service-connected trauma while maintaining active status.

Performance Psychology

Drawing on Fernando's Sports Science specialization (UNIFESP), we use bio-regulation to help "Tactical Athletes" stay sharp under pressure.

Psychiatric Evaluations

TRICARE-covered medication management focused on maintaining stability and fitness for duty.

Referral Requirement: Unlike families or retirees, Active Duty Service Members must obtain a referral and a prior authorization from their Primary Care Manager (PCM) at their Military Treatment Facility (MTF) to receive active duty mental health treatment at Resilience NJ. Once you have your authorization, we can usually schedule your intake within 72 hours.

The Tactical Athlete Approach

Our methodology is uniquely informed by Fernando’s 18-month post-graduate work in Sports Science. We view Active Duty members through the same lens as professional athletes—where mental health is a component of physical output. By monitoring heart rate variability and biological stress markers, we provide a data-driven approach to recovery that respects the physical demands of your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty).
